Every one of our Oceanfront Beach hotel rooms offers comfortable pillow top mattresses, luxurious linens, bathrobes, eco-friendly amenities, in room coffee, complimentary Solar Rain bottled water, 42” plasma televisions, iron and board, air conditioning, wet bars, refrigerators and large walk in glass showers. Nearly all rooms provide seating areas and private balconies while our six courtyard double rooms share a communal Front Porch for outdoor relaxing and socializing at our Carlsbad hotel.
Our median room size is very generously sized at 550 square feet. The largest rooms at our Carlsbad hotel, in the Ocean Front Building, boast balconies over the sand and 700 square feet of relaxing space. The most affordable room type, the Courtyard, averages 350 square feet, about the same size as a 4 star brand name hotel room.
Beach Terrace Inn offers a variety of accommodations, most with breathtaking ocean views.
- The best views may be had from rooms termed ‘Ocean Front’, representing almost 80% of the hotel’s inventory.
- Rooms types preceded by ‘Ocean View’ will offer fair to excellent views of the water, but with some obstruction.
- Rooms preceded by the term ‘Courtyard’ will offer interior views of the hotel courtyard.
- ‘Cabana Rooms‘ are located on the pool deck and offer immediate access to our shoreline pool and spa, directly from your front door. These rooms are generally not recommended for small children.
Rooms with less direct views offer an excellent opportunity for a beach front escape with more affordable pricing. In all cases, keep in mind the Beach Terrace Inn is completely on the sand and the ocean is a daily part of our lives, not a disconnected amenity.
All rooms come with complimentary parking, free Wi-Fi, complimentary newspapers and an included delicious continental breakfast served in the beautiful Ocean Lounge and Sun Terrace, spaces that boast amazing (or, as we like to say, ‘ahhh-mazing’) ocean views.
stairways to heaven.
Yes, we have stairs. Personally, we love the romance of slowly stepping down to the water’s edge. But, in case you don’t, the Pool Terrace Building has an elevator.
Just look for rooms with ‘Ocean Front Pool Terrace’ in the name. Cabana rooms offer VIP accommodations with direct access to the pool, and therefore are not recommended for small children. Located inside the pool gate with no secondary door between the front door and the pool, these rooms boast views of the ocean across the pool deck and make for a a quick plunge of refreshment in the pool or relaxation session in the jacuzzi even easier, as both await you mere steps from your front door. All other rooms are accessed by stairs. Luggage assistance is available and facilities for the disabled make a stay simple. However, the pool and beach are only accessible via an easy flight of stairs. Oh, and keep in mind the hotel has been recently redesigned, so rooms and public spaces are pretty cool, modern and totally worth it.
